Art & Floral Workshops

Let nature spark your creativity through floral, art and aromatherapy workshops on our lavender farm!

Floral and nature-inspired DIY art classes and workshops, led by local artists and crafters are offered on the patio of our barn.

All experience levels are encouraged and welcome!

Workshops include:

Celebrate Mom Framed Pressed Flowers Workshop

Saturday, May 10th | 4pm - 6pm

Celebrate Mom and all of spring’s beauty on the patio of our barn overlooking the fields while creatively arranging pressed flowers in a beautiful frame! You’ll be guided and inspired by the lovely, Megan Newton, art teacher at Miamisburg High School.

Glass and gold metal frame is approximately 6in x 6in

Feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages to enjoy during class!

Pollinator Planter Workshop

Saturday, June 14th at 10am-12pm

Get your hands dirty while learning about improving pollinator waystations in our community & making a showy pollinator-friendly planter!

This amazing annual workshop includes:

  • Planting a showy pollinator-friendly planter

  • Conversation on plants for pollinator conservation, like the wonderful monarch butterfly and more

  • Conversation on growing and caring for lavender

  • Baby lavender plant

  • U-Pick lavender bundle

Whitney Hartman, local HS science teacher, MA Biology, and owner of Hartman Lavender Garden (Monarch Joint Venture partner), will guide the class in learning about plants for pollinator conservation and how invertebrate and plant mechanisms work.

We’ll cover topics such as:

  • Pollinator Waystations and how they create a food source for local and migratory pollinator species

  • The difference between host, nectar, and pollen producing plants

  • Soil prep, selecting plants for our zone, and planting inspiration for the best waystations for the popular Monarch Butterfly and more

  • Lavender growing and care talk in the lavender fields

Your planter will include: 3 pollinator plants (1 gal, 2 quart sized), 1 small Milkweed plant, and we’ll provide all the supplies you need (except for gloves, bring your own if you’d like!)

These planters are great for attracting hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies to your home garden, will be seasonal heat tolerant and deer-resistant! You’ll have rewarding blooms and visitors all season long.

After the workshop, guests are welcome to wander the fields to pick a bundle of lavender to take home as well!

Lavender Wreath Making Class

Thursday, June 26th | 6 - 8 pm

In this incredibly special class, you’ll get to make your own beautiful, fresh lavender wreath with lavender right from our farm! Our farm owner, Joy Pascoe, will lead you in preparing and creating your wreath.

A lavender wreath is a timeless addition to your home, providing beauty and a wonderful scent year-round. Wreaths stay beautiful for years if kept away from the weather, they can be hung indoors or outdoors if in a shaded and covered space.

Wreaths will be made on a 10” form which creates a final wreath of approximately 14” in diameter.

Enjoy a fun evening escape to the farm, and feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages!

Fairy Garden Workshop

Saturday, July 26th | 10 am - 12 pm

Join us for a morning of whimsey as you create a fairy garden fit for a storybook.

Lori of Fairy Dust and Rust will guide you in selecting small plants, assorted mosses, dried flowers and fairy-sized accessories for your garden. Your beautiful garden will be in an 8” diameter flower pot. This workshop is wonderful for all ages!

This workshop will take place on the covered patio of our barn over looking the fields. in this relaxing atmosphere, you can let your imagination and creativity shine!

After class, guests are welcome to wander the fields to pick a bundle of lavender and seasonal wildflowers to take home!

Reed Diffuser &
Essential Oil Workshop

Saturday, August 2nd | 10am - 12pm

In this workshop, you’ll get to create your own custom blend of essential oils to incorporate into a dried floral and reed diffuser.

Design your own beautiful room diffuser using an arrangement of stunning dried florals and reeds in a glass jar. Your beautiful diffuser will look wonderful adorned on your desk, side table, mantle or washroom counter and provide a lasting scent to remind you of your experience on the lavender farm!

Pumpkin Succulent Centerpiece Workshop

Saturday, September 27th at 2pm

Saturday, October 4th at 2pm

With Fairy Dust and Rust

Design a show-stopping fall centerpiece for your home using a heirloom pumpkin, live moss and succulents! Lori of Fairy Dust & Rust in Tipp City, Ohio will provide you with step-by-step guidance as you create your masterpiece!

Your work of art will live for months with light watering, and after the season you can easily transplant the moss and succulents to a more traditional flower pot.

After class, explore the fields picking a beautiful bundle of wild flowers to take home with you!

Bring your friends and have an amazing afternoon creating art and memories on the farm together! Feel free to also bring snacks and beverages of your choice!
